Mardi Gras Music & Food Fest

Think you have to be in New Orleans to celebrate Mardi Gras? Think again. The music and food of the Big Easy are right here in town. The Mardi Gras Music & Food Fest features six musical acts, traditional New Orleans food such as jambalaya, crawfish, muffaletta and beans and rice. There will also be plenty of Hurricanes to drink and a costume contest all under the heated tents at the Park Tavern.
Wedding Day Hooray

Decatur Old House Fair

An older house is full of charm, but can be full of problems too. Find creative solutions to all of your older home woes at the Decatur Old House Fair, the only one of it’s kind in the Southeast. Learn about energy efficiency, window repair, kitchen and bath solutions and more. Keynote presentations will be made by Roger W. Moss, PhD, author of Paint in America, Century of Color, and Victorian Exterior and HGTV personality Jodi Marks. There will also be an hourly raffle featuring great prizes.
Mad Tea Party
The Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History in Kennesaw. Saturday, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. $25 per couple for Museum members; $35 per couple for non-members; $10 per additional guest. Early registration recommended.
Attend the first ever Mad Tea Party at the Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History (a Smithsonian Institution affiliate) to enjoy a tea party with a twist! Zany, silly attire is encouraged and entertainment includes a sing and dance-along, face painting, crafts, and a session with a tea expert… Don’t be surprised if the Queen of Hearts herself makes a guest appearance!
Buckhead Barkus Annual Pet Parade

This annual fundraiser benefits Safe Haven 4 Pets, which assists pet owners facing adversity in personal circumstances by providing guardianship through pet sitting, boarding, foster care and other services for their pets. To enter your dog in The Barkus King and Queen contest, “Like” Safe Haven 4 Pets’ & Mood Lounge’s Facebook pages and submit a photo of your dog in his or her best costume to [email protected] The opening ceremony starts at 1:00 p.m.
