Dogwood Festival

77th Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival

Piedmont Park.  Friday, 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.; Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.; Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.  Artist market closes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.  Free.

Atlanta has a lot of arts festivals but the Dogwood is the granddaddy of them all.  Now in its 77th year, the festival has become a true sign that spring is here.  The Dogwood Festival is one of the largest festivals in the country with more than 250 artists in attendance.  There is also a high school arts competition, a kids village, music and of course, the Disc Dog Southern Nationals, where you can see some talented dogs compete in this frisbee catching event.

Sweetwater 420 Fest

Sweetwater 420 Fest

Candler Park. Friday, 4:20 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.; Saturday, 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.; Sunday, 12:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.  Free.  $5 for wristband to enjoy beer.

It’s time for everyone’s favorite local beer to throw their big party: The Sweetwater 420 fest.  This year’s lineup includes George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Robert Randolph & the Family Band and lots of other great bands.  You can also enjoy the Relapse 420 Comedy Tent, an artist market and of course, tons of Sweetwater beers.

Magnetic Music Festival

Magnetic Music Festival

KSU Sports & Recreation Park.  Saturday, 1:00 p.m.  $75 – $165.  16+.

Electronica fans, Kennesaw is the place to be this Saturday for the inaugural Magnetic Music Festival.  There will be three stages of artists and DJs including Kid Cudi, Flux Pavillion, Zeds Dead and tons of others.  Get ready to dance!

Inman Park Restaurant Week

Inman Park Restaurant Week

Various Inman Park restaurants.  Through Sunday.  Three course menus are $15-$35 per person.  See specific restaurant pages for more details.

Enjoy a three course, prix fixe menu at some of your favorite Inman Park restaurants.  This is a great opportunity to taste dishes from places like Kevin Rathbun Steak, Sotto Sotto, Wisteria and may more at a fraction of the normal price.

Decatur Earth Day

Decatur Earth Day Festival

Oakhurst Community Garden. Sunday, 12:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.  Free.

Celebrate Earth Day the pirate way at the Decatur Earth Day Festival.  This pirate-themed afternoon is great for the whole family and promises a costume parade, pirate themed arts and crafts for kids, live music, over 40 vendors, a cake contest and delicious food from Revolution Doughnuts, King of Pops, Seven Hens and more.

Sandy Springs Artsapalooza

Sandy Springs Artsapalooza

6100 Lake Forrest Drive, NE. Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.; Sunday, 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.  Free.

In partnership with Art Sandy Springs, this year’s Sandy Springs Artsapalooza will have a children’s play area, interactive art stations, and plenty of local musicians to provide some music for your day. There will also be over 150 arts and crafts vendors.
