BluesBerry Festival
Historic Norcross. Saturday, 6:30pm – 11pm. Free.
Fresh local blueberries give this live blues concert a fun and funky twist. Bring your chairs & set up by the stage outside the Iron Horse Tavern, then grab a drink and stroll through the historic downtown district while you enjoy blueberry treats from shops & restaurants throughout Norcross.

Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation Day
Chick-fil-A restaurants. Friday. Free.
Dress like a cow this Friday and pig out for free at any Chick-fil-A restaurant. Those in full “cow gear” from head to hoof may select any breakfast, lunch, or dinner meal. Worried about looking udderly ridiculous? No problem. Customers wearing a cow accessory will still save moo-la by receiving a free entree.

Down N Dirty Rodeo Tour
Jim Miller Park (Marietta). Saturday, 7:30pm; Sunday, 2:30pm. Adults, $16+; Youth, $12+; Children under 5 free.
This unique rodeo showcases the diversity of today’s cowboys and cowgirls in the Southeast. Watch championship performers compete for prize money in events like bullring, team roping, bareback riding, ladies barrel racing, calf roping and steer wrestling. In addition, the Down N Dirty Rodeo Tour aims to educate attendees on prostate health and cancer awareness.

Salsa Day
Atlanta Botanical Garden. Sunday, 1pm – 4pm. Adults, $18.95; Children 3-12, $12.95; Children under 3 free.
If you love to eat salsa, dance the salsa, and do just about anything else salsa-related, head to the Atlanta Botanical Garden this Sunday for Salsa Day. The Garden has partnered with the Latin American Association to provide guests with the opportunity to discover the many dimensions of this favorite food through samples and demonstrations from Garden Chef Megan McCarthy and Taqueria del Sol’s Eddie Hernandez, and Cardio Kids will be on site with family-friendly fun and games as well as salsa dancing festivities.

4 Days of Peas & Love
Ecco. Wednesday through Saturday.
The good folks at Midtown’s Ecco love their vegetables – so much so that they’ll celebrate them for four days this week with a number of special vegetarian dishes featuring local and seasonal veggies (in addition to their regular menu). Highlights include dried tomato carpaccio with burrata, grilled eggplant involtini, ratatouille gratin, and other deliciously summery European-inspired dishes.

Artivist Film Festival
The Goat Farm. Friday, screenings at 7pm, 8:45pm & 10:30pm; Saturday, 7pm, 8:45pm & 9:30pm. $5+.
The Artivist Film Festival, founded in 2003, is dedicated to social activism and will be held this weekend in Atlanta. The Festival’s Atlanta debut includes ten features and shorts about the rain forests of Indonesia, South Africa’s youth culture, and much more. Academy Award winner “Born into Brothels” and Academy Award Nominee “Super-Size Me” are just a few of the films featured in previous years. Purchase tickets for individual shows or buy a weekend pass, which grants access to all screenings.
