Great Georgia Airshow
Atlanta Regional Airport – Falcon Field. Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. $15 in advance, $20 at the door. $10 for children 12 and under.
Things are looking up this weekend at the Great Georgia Airshow! In addition to the show in the sky, this event will include static military aircraft displays, a civil war re-enactor’s encampment, flight simulators, and a huge fun zone featuring a rock-climbing wall. Don’t miss this fun-for-the-whole-family event.

Atlanta Pride Festival
Piedmont Park. Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. – park closing. Free.
Head to Piedmont Park to celebrate Atlanta’s 41st Pride Festival! This all-weekend bash will have great music and celebrity sightings galore! This is the Southeast’s largest Pride event; one of the main attractions is the parade around Midtown. A few of the happenings include a children’s show on Saturday morning, a car and motorcycle expo, and a literary showcase. Wrap up the weekend with a performance by the famous Starlight Cabaret!

Great Atlanta Beer Festival
Turner Field. Saturday, 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. $40.
Great Atlanta Beer Fest, the largest beer festival in the city, will feature hundreds of great American and European beers, ranging from local favorites Sweetwater and Terrapin to more unique brews including Monday Night Eye Patch Ale and more. There will be live music and you don’t have to worry about missing a game; Turner Field will broadcast college football on 18 big-screen TVs!

Scarecrows in the Garden
Atlanta Botanical Garden. Tuesdays – Sundays during October, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. $18.95 for adults, $12.95 for children.
Throughout the month of October, you can head to the Atlanta Botanical Garden to take in the beauty as well as the festive fall spirit of Atlanta. You’ll find more than 100 hand-crafted scarecrows as you stroll the grounds, where you can try a new seasonal brew during the Fest-of-Ale on Thursday nights or visit the Children’s Garden during the weekend for family friendly games and crafts.

2011 Oakhurst Arts & Music Festival
Harmony Park. Saturday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Free.
Spend some quality time with your family and friends this weekend at the 14th annual Oakhurst Arts and Music Festival. This event features free activities for children from 10 am-4pm, a parade and live music all day! The Artist’s Market includes goods made from all types of media. Shop for unique jewelry, ceramics, bath and body products, textiles and more!

Brick Store Hop Harvest Fest
Brick Store Pub. Saturday, 11 a.m. – 2 a.m. Prices vary.
Brick Store’s 3rd Annual Hop Harvest Festival celebrates the I.P.A. with 25 different draughts- Double, Imperial, Seasonal, Belgian, American, and more! Food will be available, as well. Atlanta Parent Magazine’s Family Block Party
Mercer University’s Atlanta Campus. Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. $5; Free for kids 2 and under.
Moonwalks, limos, trucks, crafts, games, a petting zoo, prizes, and much, much more! Kids will be in their element as they run, jump, and play all day long. Online ticket sales close Friday at 3PM, but you can pay cash at the door. Sponsors include StorkBrokers, RadioDisney, Xfinity, Mercer University, and WSB-TV.
