Castleberry Art Stroll

Unwind from the workweek with art! Every second Friday of the month, Castleberry Hill hosts a local art walk. The group will meet up at No Mas Cantina and then walk through the neighborhood. Over 20 galleries will be open-explore new local talent!

2013 Progressive Insurance Atlanta Boat Show
Georgia World Congress Center. Thursday and Friday, 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.; Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.; Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. $12 for adults 16 and over; free for youth 15 and under.
The Atlanta Boat show is in its 50th year and is the premier boat show in Georgia. You will be able to get great deals on boats, gear and accessories as well as learn from boating experts and test your navigational skills in the 20-foot “lake.”

Gwinnett County Fairgrounds. Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (VIP entry at 9:00 a.m.); Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. VIP tickets good for both show days $12 for adults; $5 ages 5-12; ages 4 and under free. If you’re into reptiles, head down to Repticon. There will lots of booths where you can learn more about your favorite cold blooded friends as well as buy products for them. It’s a reptile lover’s paradise and one of the biggest reptile shows in Georgia. VIP tickets include a complimentary tote bag with samples.

Winter Exhibitions Opening Ceremony

The Atlanta Contemporary Art Center is starting the year off with two new exhibitions and a ceremony to show them off. Check out The Dark Pavement by Alix Pearlstein orNice to Meet You, a joint project between artsits Tony Labat and Tad Savinar. Save your ticket and return the next day for a free artist discussion with Alix Pearlstein about her work and how this project differed from her others. Free parking is offered for visitors.

Come see the DJ who might be the Red Bull Thre3Style National Champion in this fun spinning contest. Each DJ will have 15 minutes to show off their skills while they are judged on track selection, creativity, mixing skills, stage presence and crowd reaction.
