Bottoms Up for Crohn’s and Colitis

Cosmo Lava. Saturday, 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. $30.

Want to get your groove on for a good cause this weekend? Then head to CosmoLava for Bottoms Up, a fundraiser for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation’s that specifically targets a younger generation of charity-minded attendees. This second annual event includes a DJ, dancing, hors d’oeuvres, 4 drink tickets and a silent auction, and is hosted in part by a member of Pinnacle’s own marketing team.

Piedmont Park Summer Arts and Crafts Festival

Piedmont Park. Saturday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Free.

Head to Piedmont Park for the inaugural Summer Arts and Crafts Festival, featuring paintings, photographs, sculptures, leatherwork, blown glass, and more. In addition to showcasing their work, artists will perform demonstrations throughout the event. Plus, don’t miss the live music and deliciously fresh festival food.

Dinosaur Birthday Bash Weekend

Fernbank Museum of Natural History. Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, noon-4 p.m. Adults: $17.50; children 3-12 $15.50; children under 2 free.

Round up the kids and head to the Fernbank Museum to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Giants of the Mesozoic. Dinosaur themed party games, ice cream, temporary tattoos and a birthday hat craft workshop are included with admission. Catch appearances by the Georgia Bubbleman and “That Puppet Guy.” Don’t forget your camera; you can say “cheese” as you pose with the Museum’s Giganotosaurus skull!

6th Annual Big Ten Pub Crawl

Starts at East Andrews. Saturday, 3PM-10PM. $25 (21+ only).

Kick off football season with other Big Ten alums this Saturday! Wear your team colors and enjoy an evening of drinking, food specials, friendly competition, live music, and more. The Pub Crawl begins at East Andrews and each participant will be assigned to a group upon arrival. Groups will visit Buckhead hotspots like Kramer’s, 5 Paces, Dive Bar, and Park Bench. All net proceeds benefit the Homeless Pets Foundation, an Atlanta-based charity organization.

Pretty Ambitious’ Drive-in Birthday Party

Star Bar. Saturday, 5PM. $10.

Atlanta label Pretty Ambitious Records is celebrating its first birthday in the parking lot of Star Bar with a drive-in movie extravaganza. Monster movies will be shown at sundown, food trucks will be out in full force, and bands such as Lucy Dreams, the Hymens, Wymyns Prysyn, the Husseins and more are slated to perform. Sponsors include Pretty Ambitious Records, Purge ATL, Team Luis Marlboro & the Schlitz Malt Liquor Bull.

Movie Night @ The Masquerade Featuring: Reservoir Dogs

The Masquerade. August 21st, 6:30 p.m. $3 in advance

The cult classic, Reservoir Dogs, isn’t the only throwback to the ninety’s at this movie night. The price will bring you right back, too. Entry is only $3 and those arriving before 7 p.m. will also receive a free beer and bag of popcorn.
