4th Annual Snuggie Pub Crawl

Head to the Highlands bundled up in your favorite Snuggie (or pajamas) for the 4th Annual Atlanta Snuggie Pub Crawl.  Six participating bars will be featuring a complimentary drink or shot for those dressed up as well as food and drink specials.  There will be a raffle and a costume contest with great prizes.

Polar Bear 5K & Plunge

Polar Bear Run & Plunge 5K

Foxhall Resort & Sporting Club. Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.  $39 plus $10 to park.  21+.

How about doing something different this weekend and taking a jump into Fox Hall Pond after an adventure race?  Sounds kind of crazy, but like lots of fun.  You can walk or run the 3.1 mile race, which includes 12 obstacles including a fire jump and a mudslide.  The last obstacle will be jumping into the chilly pond.  Don’t worry, there will be beer (one free), food trucks and heaters at the end.

Moveable Feast

Moveable Feast

Highland Ballroom. Sunday, 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.  $25 for non-vegetarian; $20 for vegetarian.

Dust off your dancing shoes, Moveable Feast will be a night that sticks with your forever.  You’ll experience local music from Nadia Marie, tapas style food and swing dancing.  It’ll be a great way to have fun, meet new people and learn new things.

Party with the Penguins

Party with the Penguins

Georgia Aquarium. Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  Free for annual pass members and complimentary for all guests with aquarium admission.

To celebrate Penguin Awareness Day on January 20th, the Georgia Aquarium is throwing a weekend long party celebrating penguins. Dress up in your finest penguin attire and strike a pose for the camera on their red carpet. This gala celebration will include a Waddle Walk to learn more about penguins and the opportunity to make a special memory craft as a memento. This unique even will not only celebrate the African Penguins, it will teach you more about helping keep this endangered species thriving.
