Welcome to this week’s edition of “Trending Topic Tuesday,” where we share our take on what’s going on in the world and what promotional products would appropriately (or inappropriately) market the subject matter.
Verizon Wireless is holding a press conference at 11 a.m. this morning, during which many sources say they will announce plans to bring the iPhone to their network. While Verizon network users are pretty sure they will be able to get an iPhone, a lot of speculation still remains. Will Steve Jobs make an appearance at this newsworthy event? When will the iPhone be available? How soon will they need new promotional cell phone accessories?
Experts in the technology industry speculate that the Verizon iPhone will be obtainable by the end of January. According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple has a history of bringing products to the market anywhere from two to four weeks after first announcing the debut. In this case, bringing the iPhone to Verizon will help Apple to better compete with Google’s Android phones, which began outselling Apple smartphones in late 2010. What will happen remains to be seen for now, but we’ll know more in a few hours!
