Ever wonder if you have what it takes to survive a zombie apocalypse? Well the undead are swarming in Georgia this weekend and it’s the perfect chance to test your survival skills. Didn’t get your race registration in on time? Grab a spectator ticket and cheer on the survivors… or the zombies.

The Atlanta Opera – The Golden Ticket

Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. Saturday, 8:00 p.m. – March 11. $24 – $139 for adults; $15 for children, limit one child per each adult purchase; Family Four Pack which includes two Adult tickets, 2 Child tickets and a chocolate bar available for a limited time for $150.

The Golden Ticket is a comedic opera based on Roald Dahl’s book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Join Charlie, Willy Wonka, Veruca Salt, Violet Beauregard and all the oompa loompas in the Atlanta Opera’s version of the beloved story with music by Peter Ash.

Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival

Atlantic Station. Saturday, 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m for VIP; 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. for regular admission. VIP Admission – $75; Regular Admission – $35 in advance/$40 at the door; Designated Driver Admission $25; Kids 12 and under are free.

Join the Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival as it tours the country, making a stop at Atlantic Station. Sample pulled pork, ribs, brisket, chicken and sausages and wash it down with unlimited tastes of 60 types of beer and 40 bourbons. In addition to the great food and drink, there will be seminars, music, contest and exhibits.

Celebrity Chocolate Buffet

Park 75 Lounge at the Four Seasons. Friday, 9:00 p.m.- 12:00 a.m. $30.

Chocoholics rejoice! The Celebrity Chocolate Buffet is coming to Park 75 at the Four Seasons Hotel. Each Friday night during the month of March, Pastry Chef Charles Barrett will invite a local celebrity to help him host this delicious event. The buffet will offer more than 20 delectable chocolate desserts, including the Chocolate Elvis – a peanut butter, banana and bacon sandwich on chocolate brioche bread, a double chocolate “Twinkie” and a chocolate “Nutty Buddy” panna cotta.

Meehan’s Public House (Vinings location). Saturday 2:00 p.m. – 6.00 p.m. Raffle tickets start at $10.

Come support rescued animals while enjoying a traditional Irish breakfast (or lunch or dinner) at the Irish Barkfest for Georgia Homeless Pets.
