Low-Fidelity iPhone

This weekend my beloved iPhone 3GS met an untimely end when it slipped from my hand and landed on concrete screen first. I’ve dropped that phone a hundred times in the years that I’ve had it and I probably should have had it on a stand, but I knew when I heard an odd crunchy noise that we had reached the end. When I picked it up, the screen was completely shattered and I was finally conviced it was time for a new phone . But any sadness of the loss of my 2 year old phone has been replaced by the accessory-craze I get each time I upgrade! For this phone, I’m thinking of taking a retro-vintage vibe with my accessory collection, contrasting all that ever-changing technology with a few timeless pieces (hence the low-fi title today).  Best of all, the cellphone accessory collection at Pinnacle means this will be my most stylish and well-protected iPhone yet.

Stand out from the Crowd with Custom iPhone Covers & Accessories

At Apple’s iPad 2 event in March, Steve Jobs announced that the company had sold more than 100 million iPhones worldwide since the launch of the device in 2007. If you own one of them, you know it’s not easy to make your phone stand out from the millions of others just like it… that is, unless you’ve got a super-unique custom iPhone cover.

Mashable recently published a gallery of the coolest custom iPhone covers and accessories they could find, including a number of skins, protective cases, and stands. From this Etch-a-Sketch case to one shaped like a child’s hand, there’s certainly no shortage of one-of-a-kind, custom items that your friends will envy.

What’s the coolest iPhone cover or accessory you’ve seen (or own)?

Launchpad Calling Mission Control: We’re Headed into an iCloud

Welcome to this week’s edition of “Trending Topic Tuesday,” where we share our take on what’s going on in the world and what promotional products would appropriately (or inappropriately) market the subject matter.Moscone Center
Steve Jobs addressed a crowd of 5,200 developers at the 2011 Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco yesterday, and while he didn’t announce the release of the iPhone 5 (which members of the tech world had already guessed), he did speak about a number of updates to the company’s software that will improve functionality – and, likely, sales – of Apple’s already easy-to-use products such as the MacBook, iPad, and iPhone. And if you’ve always wanted to be a pilot or an astronaut, I’m sure that some of these new products and services will catch your ear.

Indeed, some of the features of Mac OS X 10.7 Lion sound like they were developed by NASA: we’ve got Mission Control, which makes it easy for Mac users to quickly navigate among apps and spaces; Launchpad, which allows users to find and launch apps from where they left off the last time they were closed; and iCloud, Apple’s own cloud-based file storage system that gives users the ability to access music, videos, images and more from any Apple device without having to upload them from their Mac to their iPod to their iPad (and so on).

iOS 5, the operating system used by mobile devices (the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad), also features a number of significant changes that make things both easier and more efficient for users. The camera is accessible via a shortcut from the lock screen, and all devices will be equipped with iMessenger, a conversation platform that allows individuals to carry on a single conversation (free of charge) between various iOS devices. Much like Blackberry’s BBM platform, iMessenger facilitates communication between iOS users via Wi-Fi or 3G to cut back on text messages.

New and Unique Promotional Products: Making your life easier one gadget at a time!

It seems like every day a different gadget is being developed to make your life more simple.  Whether you need to protect your tablet, smartphone, or your desk looks like a sea of wires, there are new and unique promotional products available to clean up and organize every aspect of your life!

One of my personal favorite unique promotional products solutions is the cable drop.  A large stress in my life evolves from my struggle to reach the cord to my iPhone charger (that falls behind my dresser every day ). Each night I squish my face against the wall and stretch my arm to lengths I never knew imaginable just to retrieve this power cord. Continue reading

Welcome to this week’s edition of  “Trending Topic Tuesday,” where we share our take on what’s going on in the world and what promotional products would appropriately (or inappropriately) market the subject matter.

Verizon Wireless is holding a press conference at 11 a.m. this morning, during which many sources say they will announce plans to bring the iPhone to their network. While Verizon network users are pretty sure they will be able to get an iPhone, a lot of speculation still remains. Will Steve Jobs make an appearance at this newsworthy event? When will the iPhone be available? How soon will they need new promotional cell phone accessories?
