Megan’s Product Pick: Mini Stripes!

Now that summer 2012 is fully underway, it is time to think about clothing that you can wear on vacation. I am fully into the nautical trend this year, and love the look for men and women alike. One of my favorite nautical staples is the stripe. I think stripes are classically cool and can be flattering when styled right.

The mini stripe is a pattern that can be worn by just about anyone. Since the stripes are subtle, they will not enhance any flaws. So, you can be on trends wearing stripes, but in a tasteful and forgiving way. I love these new tees; they have the right amount of classic and edge. A one-color logo screen print would look great on these!

The Men’s mini stripe notch tee: Made of 100% ring spun cotton, this tee is so soft to the touch! Choose from 3 classic stripe combinations. Love the contrast tipping around the v-neck too!

Megan’s Product Pick: NEON t-shirts and accessories

I was a wee little one when neon clothing and accessories were all the rage in the 1980’s, but I still got on the trend bandwagon with OP (Ocean Pacific) jams and a paint-splattered tee. I though I was pretty cool, considering that my trendsetting Grandmother had the matching ensemble. The 90’s were not much better, giving us another regurgitation of neon, worn by ravers and club kids. Glow sticks, makeup, glitter and hair dye were doused with neon hues. It seemed the more the better.

Custom QR Code Apparel Takes the Stage at the Webby Awards

The 12th annual Webby Awards were held this past Monday night, honoring excellence on the Internet for everything from website and interactive advertising to online film and video. Awards are given in nearly 70 categories, with two winners for each, one selected by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, and one voted by the public. Among this year’s winners was Jessica Stuart whose video, The Time to Eliminate Pediatric AIDS is Now, created for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation was awarded in the category of Public Service and Activism. Mrs. Stuart seems to be getting just as much attention now, however, for her wardrobe choice the evening of the awards as for the film itself.

Get Creative With Mobile Marketing-Print QR Codes on Logo Apparel

If you’ve seen QR codes popping up on logo apparel, in magazines, or on retail windows, it’s because these distinct 2-D matrix bar codes are gaining lots of traction in the interactive and mobile marketing realm.

QR codes, also known as quick-response codes, are considered a convenience-oriented matrix that’s connecting the physical world to the digital world, instantly. Marketers have integrated QR codes into their campaigns because it’s engaging prospects. Now, by just scanning these codes with a web-enabled mobile phone, consumers on the go can instantly interact with their brand.

Through the codes, companies directly connect consumers to whatever information they wish to promote; whether it is a product page, a Facebook “like” page, coupons, or a campaign. Another attractive feature is the codes ability to measure response rates leading to a more accurate ROI calculation.

Now that QR codes are just beginning to gain traction in the U.S, you can still stay ahead of the creative marketing curve by incorporating QR codes with logo apparel. Promotional products such as shirts and hats last far longer than printed collateral such as flyers and direct mailers. Similarly, by printing a QR code on to logo apparel your company creates a walking marketing campaign! Continue reading →

On International Women’s Day Show Support with Promotional Items.

Welcome to this week’s edition of “Trending Topic Tuesday,” where we share our take on what’s going on in the world and what promotional products would appropriately (or inappropriately) market the subject matter.

Today March 8th, marks the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day. On this day we recognize the incredible women through out history who have made an everlasting impact on the status of women. However, this day is also about continuing progress and identifying that there is still room to improve.

In this generation, women still make 77 cents for every dollar a man makes, and less than 3 percent of Fortune 500 CEO’s are women. These facts among many others indicate that our world still has the task of perfecting equality.

On this day, and going forth, women’s rights groups such as NOW can show support for the hopeful progress of women through promotional items such as message pens, custom apparel, and various promotional efforts. Or if you want something a little nicer, be sure to consider backpacks. Shop Pinnacle’s collection of Best Backpacks for Women for our favorites. Through promotional items as well as the many other outlets available, the women of today can spread their message in hopes of building a better place for the women of tomorrow.

Gap Uses Location Based Advertising to Give Away Custom Apparel

For those of you who, like me, wish you could go shopping without spending any money, your dream might be coming true. Gap announced that they will give away 10,000 pairs of jeans to shoppers who check into a Gap retail location using Facebook’s new Deals feature. This campaign will not only help Gap to bring more consumers into the store as the holiday season nears but, through the use of incentives such as custom apparel, will also encourage people to participate in location-based social media. Although Facebook and Twitter have gained popularity, the Pew Research Center recently found that only 4% of online adults currently use location-based services, such as Foursquare or Gowalla.
