Welcoming the spring with promotional products

As many of you know, I became a first time homeowner at the end of January. My husband and I had been house hunting for months and finally found our home last December, during the peak of the winter season. So while our new yard looked nice, we had no idea if the stick-like mounds in the island in the back yard would ever amount to anything more than kindling for a fire.

This past weekend, however, I was in for a wonderful surprise. I walked out onto my patio to enjoy the comfortable, sunny morning and to my delight found green shoots emerging from the colorless mounds of pine straw! After doing a little research into what flower could possibly be sprouting in my lawn, I found out that these shoots would soon bare the bright yellow blossoms of Daffodils.

I really couldn’t have asked for a better surprise to start out the spring. I – having absolutely no semblance of a green thumb – love to look at flowers, love to receive flowers but would really prefer not to have to nurture said flowers. Being able to enjoy them without all the fuss is really a great surprise.

It will be nice to welcome the spring season with a little burst of color from my garden of blooming flowers. And I’m really looking forward to having some pretty Daffodils to fill the promotional vase I have sitting empty on my desk.

While I’m excited that we’ve uncovered one of the hidden secrets my yard holds, I really can’t wait to see what those other bare sticks turn out to be!
