Boosting Sales This Summer with Custom Sports Bottles

I was filling up my tank at a gas station down the street the other day when I noticed this hard to miss ad above each gas pump.

I couldn’t help but snap a picture. What an excellent way to boost sales and keep your customers coming back to your station for their regular fill-ups. By selling eco-friendly, reusable custom sports bottles, they give their customers an attractive drinkware item and a reason to keep coming back to their location, all summer long.

Imagine this. You’re heading out the door in the morning on your way to work. You realize you’re going to need gas. So you grab your custom sports bottle and head to the gas station where you purchased your sports bottle. While your tank is slowly filling, you stroll into the store, fill up your cup with your beverage of choice (for free of course) and maybe even purchase a tasty breakfast treat on your way out the door.

Then you’re back on the road. You got a free drink and the gas station got a repeat customer. Talk about a win win situation!

I could easily see this type of promo working at retail stores everywhere. Purchase a reusable bag, get a discount off all of your future purchases. The store sells a bag, keeps customers coming back for the discount and does a good deed for the environment by keeping disposable bags out of the landfill.

Sounds like a pretty sweet deal for all involved. I’d keep coming back for that. Wouldn’t you?

Target gives you 5 cents off per reusable bag you bring with you. It’s not much, but every little bit helps and it just makes me feel good about helping the environment.
