Quotes about “winning every second” and “tiger blood” have already led fans to design t-shirts available for purchase online, but official Sheen merchandise may soon be sold at national chains like Wal-Mart and Target. In addition, Harcos Laboratories is marketing a new line of promotional beverages called “Tiger Blood Energy Potion.” For about $4 a drink, you will receive 80mg of caffeine and liquid that claims to “make your brain fire in a way that’s not from this particular terrestrial realm.”

Celebrities’ time in the limelight tends to be fleeting, so Charlie Sheen’s swift development of products to reinforce his personal brand was a smart tactic to prolong the media frenzy. He is capitalizing on his fame through a series of items promoting his personal brand, not to mention illustrating the effectiveness of product marketing as a tool to engage a target audience.
