Peach Drop 2011

Join thousands of your closest friends at Underground Atlanta to ring in the new year. An eclectic array of local and national performers will entertain crowds throughout the day and into the night on three different stages, while the whole family can enjoy rides and vendors scattered throughout Underground Atlanta. From a moonwalk and face painting to bar specials and fireworks, there’s something for everyone at the southeast’s largest New Year’s Eve celebration.

Yacht Rock New Year’s Eve at Park Tavern
Park Tavern. Friday, 9pm. $125+.
Rock out with one of Atlanta’s favorite bands, the Yacht Rock Revue, as you enjoy an open bar, gourmet hors d’ouvres and a midnight breakfast buffet (including fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts!) at Park Tavern on Piedmont Park. Ticketholders can also take advantage of special rates at the nearby Loews hotel, where shuttle service will be available between 9pm and 2am.

New Year’s Eve POParazzi
Woodruff Arts Center. Friday, 8pm – 12am. $32-$70.
Let the magnificent sounds of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and vocal trio, POParazzi, help you ring in 2011. Conducted by principal Pops conductor Michael Krajewski, the evening’s program covers a wide variety of musical genres, and will have you moving and shaking your way into a joyful new year. Expect to hear music from The Godfather, Jersey Boys, and Sinatra, just to drop a few names.

Medieval Times New Year’s Eve Extravaganza!
Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament. Friday, 9:30 pm. $69.95 adults; $35.95 for children 12 and under.
Instead of counting down to midnight this New Year’s Eve, turn back the clock at Medieval Times New Year’s Eve Extravaganza. In addition to enjoying a two hour live show- complete with four course dinner- tickets also include admission to the Museum of Torture and music and dancing. Those who are partial to more modern traditions will also enjoy the champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight.

New Year’s Eve Gala at the Georgia Club

Athens isn’t just for bulldog fans; head down to the classic city to celebrate New Year’s Eve in style. You and your friends can ring in the new year with live music, lobster tails and champagne. Chick-fil-A Bowl FanFest
Georgia World Congress Center. Friday, 2pm – 6pm. $15.
The South Carolina Gamecocks face the Florida State Seminoles in the annual Chick-fil-A Bowl (formerly the Peach Bowl) this Friday and Coca-Cola Zero is helping fans get in the spirit with this ultimate pre-game, family activity. Attractions include obstacle courses and rock climbing walls, food and beverages from Chick-fil-A and Coca-Cola Zero, and plenty of contests and give-a-ways (where you can hope to score some promotional fan gear).
