Long gone are the days in which women have to suffer through wearing a Men’s Promotional T-shirt. As we all know, the Promotional Products industry is a bit behind trend driven, retail fashion. But, we do have access to great t-shirts, made for women.
Men’s style t-shirts are not made for the female form. Can you remember the last time you received a promotional Men’s t-shirt? I do. I tried it on and it just looked plain awful! Let’s just say that the tee does not see the light of day. It has been banished to the bottom dresser drawer. Being in the industry, I thought about the purchaser of said t-shirt. I bet they would feel bad knowing that their t-shirt is not getting any play from me, therefore gaining no advertising for them. I wonder if they would have purchased the same shirt if they were educated on fit and style and, most importantly, what the end user would actually wear.

Smart promotional product companies know that one size doesn’t fit all. As with any marketing campaign, the 4Ps (price, place, product, promotion) play an integral role in determining what strategy should be employed to achieve optimal results. This series of blog posts focuses on the “place” component of this popular framework and each entry will include promo product ideas for cities within distinct regions of the United States.
If you simply can’t wait to see the suggestions for your region in an upcoming post, check out “Coast to Coast: Hot Promotional Products for Every Region” for insightful information about promotional product preferences in all of the major parts of the country.

Oh so cute. Oh so colorful. The Mechanical Colored Lead Pencil Pack comes with brightly colored pencils with matching colored lead!

Maybe I’ve been sheltered. Maybe I do live under a rock. But I’ll admit, I have never seen these before. Mechanical pencils? Yes. Colored pencils? Yes. A mixture? Well, this is a first for me.

This is the time of year when we all look forward to outdoor events, at least I do! One of my favorite practical products that I saw at January’s PPAI Expo was the Take a Seat Stool.
The Take a Seat Stool is made from eco-friendly, recycled paper and folds up flat for easy transport. It is small enough to fit in a large tote! The Take a Seat can accommodate up to 200 lbs, and sitting on it is comfortable and not the least bit wobbly. This stool is great for use both indoors and out with a protective coating that helps prevent moisture from ruining your beloved travel bench.
The Take a Seat is perfect for golf events, parades, barbecues, outdoor sporting events and concerts in the park. It would also be perfect to use for extra seating in a “lounge” setting, promoting a new product at any happening. Since it’s available with a one color imprint or with a full color option, your message is fully customizable!
I was lucky enough to receive a Take a Seat of my own and I’m definitely going to take it to all the outdoor festivals this year! I am sure that it will gather some attention and wistful smiles from my fellow concert-goers.

Who else tuned in for the 11 o’clock lottery drawing last Friday, hoping to match the winning numbers and instantly be entitled to millions upon millions of dollars?
With Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot totaling a record-breaking $640 million dollars, three lucky individuals holding winning tickets were not the only ones to wake up richer on Saturday morning. Along with several people who matched some, but not all, of the winning numbers, lottery retailers, state governments, and local news stations, profited from heightened ticket sales and increased publicity. According to reliable news sources, approximately 50% of Mega Millions sales are funneled back into prize payouts, while 35% land up in state coffers, and 15% finds itself in the hands of retailers who are responsible for ticket sales and lottery operating costs.
