The 49th Annual 4th of July at Lenox Square
Lenox Square. Sunday, 6pm- 10 pm. Free.
Celebrate Independence day with 200,000 of your closest friends at the largest 4th of July celebration in the Southeast. Enjoy live music, a military aircraft display and other family friendly events including a choreographed fireworks display thats sure to end the evening with a bang.

Centennial Park’s 4th of July Celebration
Centennial Olympic Park. Sunday, 12pm. Free.
Starting at noon, the whole family can enjoy arts and crafts, face painting and carnival games. Taste culinary offerings from Celebrity Chef Sara Moulton and enter to win prizes at the Mission Menus Kitchen. Q100 will be broadcasting live all day, so you may be able to pick up promotional products from the radio station and other sponsors like Coca-Cola and Embassy Suites. Musical performances begin around 5 pm, featuring artists like 911 Band, Edens Edge and 80’s rock band The Smithereens. AirTran Airways Fireworks Spectacular to follow.

Fantastic Fourth Celebration at Stone Mountain Park
Stone Mountain Park. Saturday-Monday 10am. $10 Per Car.
Throw on your red, white and blue and head to Stone Mountain Park for a day of family fun. Get there early to secure a prime spot on Memorial Lawn, take in the park’s family-friendly activities, brave the heat and hike to the top of the “world’s largest piece of exposed granite” or enjoy the view as you ride the Summit Skyride to the top. Then at dark, take in the Lasershow Spectacular, buy the kids and the young-at-heart a glow necklace or glowing collapsible wand and round out the evening with the Fantastic Fourth fireworks display.
Atlanta Braves vs. Florida Marlins
Turner Field. Friday, 7:35pm, Saturday, 4:10pm and Sunday, 5:05pm. $6-$78 for Tickets.
Spend this holiday weekend cheering on our Eastern division #1 Braves for their 3 game series against the Florida Marlins. Fireworks show will be after the game on July 4th followed by a free concert by Yacht Rock Revue. Nothing is more patriotic than hot dogs and baseball, so slather on the sunscreen and Go Braves.

July Fourth Festivities and Fireworks at Wills Park
Wills Park. Sunday, 5pm. Free.
For those of you celebrating out in the suburbs, the annual fourth festivities at Wills Park never fail. Food vendors including the Varsity will be located throughout the park, face painting and balloon animals go til 8:30 for the kids, and live music plays til the fireworks start at sundown.

Material Drift
Sandler Hudson Gallery. Thursday-Friday, 10am-5pm; Saturday, 12pm-5pm. Free.
This weekend is your last chance to see Pam Longobardi’s “obsession with the material detritus of contemporary disposable consumer culture.” Material Drift, which ends Saturday, attempts to archive the lost pieces of plastic litter that fill our oceans and shores. Come see the life-size hand mirror above, made of found debris. Afterward grab a cup of coffee at Octane and explore the restaurants and art venues of Atlanta’s Westside.
