Have you checked out our Deal of the Month for April? It’s the SPF 30 Jumbo Sunscreen Tube.
The weather in April is fickle. If you’re down in the South like we are, Mother Nature seemed to forget spring entirely and jumped from winter straight into summer with temps jumping from the 40 and 50s to the 80s with nothing in-between! However, I know that some of you are still dealing with hail and snow so thoughts of summer rays are far from your mind.
But even if you’re dealing with a winter that just won’t quit, we’re well into spring and days spent outside at the pool or lake are closer than you think. This sunscreen is perfect for sticking into your purse or bag so you can put it on when you need. Since it comes in a tube and isn’t liquid-y, there’s no danger of it spilling. Because there’s nothing more fun than reaching into your purse for some change and pulling out a glob of sunscreen-covered money, right? (That needs the sarcasm font.) With a tropical or coconut breeze scent, just the smell will remind you of being in your happy, sun-drenched place, wherever that may be. (And for those of you who prefer your happy place to be scent-free, there’s that option too.)
Do you follow Pinnacle on Facebook? If not, you should because not only do we post links to new items, sales and general fun stuff, but we also do giveaways from time to time and last week, we gave away 20 of these sunscreens to our Facebook fans. For our giveaway, we asked where they would use their promotional sunscreen and here are some of the answers we received:
• For the beach rays
• At the beach/lake/pool
• Sitting in [the] yard enjoying the sun
• At the bleach (we hope this meant beach!!)
Where would you use your promotional sunscreen? Aside from the beach, I’d use mine at a festival, concert, baseball game and road race. Pretty much anytime I’m outside, this sunscreen is going to come in handy. Lucky for me, I have one in my purse.

If you live in Atlanta, like I do, you’re probably pretty aware of what’s going on this weekend. The NCAA Final Four Basketball Semi-Finals and Championship games are going down at the Georgia Dome. Louisville will be playing Witchita State and Michigan will be playing Syracuse on Saturday night. The winner of each game will play each other in the championship on Monday night.
In addition to the games themselves, there’s a ton of stuff going on around town. If you read our weekend guide, you know that all weekend long will feature free concerts from bands like Dave Matthews and Sting. Bracket Town, a 4-day family-friendly event inside the Georgia World Congress Center, will be your chance to meet coaches and former college basketball players, get autographs and participate in other sports activities.
While the official NCAA products are sold online at the NCAA Shop, I have a feeling that if you’re downtown this weekend, you’ll still see a lot of promotional products for sale, being given away or on people themselves. Here’s what I predict we’ll see:
• T- shirts

Obviously fans are going to wear t-shirts showing off the team they want to win. That also goes for the concerts; fans will show off their favorite bands by donning their t-shirts. There is also a 5K in the morning on Saturday and I’m sure they’ll give out t-shirts too.
• Pens

Sounds weird for a basketball tournament, but hear me out. At Bracket Town, kids (and adults for that matter) will have the opportunity to get autographs signed. Props to the company that thought to get their logo imprinted on the pens that the athletes will be using to sign them.
• Sunglasses

At a huge event like this, handing out promotional sunglasses is a great way to get your brand logo out there and I predict that lots of companies will do just that. With so many people outside listening to music and just hanging out, I bet custom sunglasses are going to be super popular.
If you’re going to any of the Final Four events (or any other festival-type thing), I’d love to hear what sort of promotional products you saw!

I’m subscribed to a daily email from Greatist.com. The emails focus on health related topics like exercise and healthy food and just healthy living in general. Today’s email stuck out to me though because it was Entitled 23 Ways to Reduce Stress. (I realize, upon writing this, that this blog post could be about the effectiveness of an email subject line, but alas, it’s about stress relief. But a good idea for another post, no?)
There were 23 suggestions and as I read them, my promotional product mind kicked in and I thought to myself that there were definitely promotional products out there that could help with some of their suggestions. Click on the pictures to see the products on our website.
• Yoga
• Aromatherapy
• Music
• Tea

• Your pets

I could go on, but I don’t want to stress you out. However, I encourage you to read the original article for some great tips.
Life can be stressful to us all, giving your customers or clients products to help them reduce that stress is something that will also be appreciated.

We are happy to introduce you to our Fan of the Month for March: Mining Resrouces & Mesabi Nugget! They are sister companies on the Iron Range, both under Steel Dynamics.
1. Tell us a little more about your company:
Steel Dynamics and Magnetation have partnered to build the new Mining Resources facility near Hibbing, Minnesota to process natural ore tailings basins and produce iron ore concentrate. The plant implements new magnetic separation technology to recover hematite ore from previously discarded waste streams generated by mining operations from the 1930s through the 1960s. New technology employed by the Mesabi Nugget operation now produces the world’s first and only iron nuggets that are pure enough to supplant imported pig iron in mini-mill steel production. Mesabi Nugget uses Minnesota iron ore to produce 97-percent pure, metallic iron nuggets that are perfectly suited for use in EAFs—ushering in a New Age of Iron for Minnesota’s Iron Range.
2. What is your favorite promotional product?
Our favorite promotional item that we have ordered so far are the Eyeglass/sunglass Holder Clips.
3. What kind of promotional products would you like to use in the future?
One promotional item that we would like to see and couldn’t find on your website was a magnetic post it note pad. (ed note: Your Account Manager will be happy to send you some options for this. There are many products that we can get that are not on our site. Just ask!)
4. Tell us a fun fact about you or your company!
Some of our crew participated in the Arctic Splash (jumped into a frozen lake) to raise funds for the United Way.
