Chalkboards and chalkboard paint has been all the rage in interior design and home goods for the last few years. More and more homes are featuring framed chalkboards and even chalkboard painted walls and products in their kitchens, offices and playrooms.  And why not?  Drawing with chalk is just fun!  And maybe it is nostalgic and brings you back to your school days when you dreamed of having one of those fancy chalk holders your third grade teacher had and a freshly cleaned chalkboard to draw all over. Promotional Products that Keep You Organized

So I have to admit, I’m NOT the most organized person!  Don’t get me wrong, I have good intentions but I always seem to have a couple messy drawers and my car is horrible at the moment.  I dream of one day having my life organized into tidy bins, baskets, and clear pockets.  Never again would I have to say, “where did I put that?” because it would be in the specific bin, clearly marked.  These are the things I dream about as I search Pinterest and pin tips on being organized.

I must be in good company because there is a plethora of these type of articles and even entire stores, like The Container Store, created with this need in mind. Things To Consider When Buying Corporate Holiday Gifts

If you have ever been given the task of purchasing corporate holiday gifts for your clients or customers, you know it can be very overwhelming.  You want to make sure you are giving a gift that will show your customers that you truly appreciate their business but you must also stay within your budget.  Here is a helpful list of things to consider when buying corporate holiday gifts.

1.  Who will be receiving this gift?  Who is your target?

Let’s be honest, we’d love to give gifts to everyone we’ve done business with but we have to zero in on our target, our best customers.  Find out the demographics on your best customers if you don’t already know.  Are they mostly female/male?  Is there a specific age that most of them fall into?  Can you pinpoint interests or hobbies that they all have in common?  If your top customers work in an office and sit behind a computer… a desktop gift or computer accessory gift would be ideal.  Or maybe your target is largely females who have an interest in entertaining… a houseware or entertainment gift would be appreciated. This key information will help you when selecting what gifts to purchase. It pays to really understand your target demographic before researching gift options.

Engage with Customers with Promotional Products

In today’s fast paced, virtual landscape it is becoming more important than ever to engage with your customers. It has become commonplace to communicate via text, purchase products on your mobile and download music online. We can go through an entire day without actually interacting with another human face-to-face. As humans we crave interaction and a tangible way for companies to fill this need is to use promotional products, like puzzles or games.

I recently read an article on Springwise.com about a Canadian musican that offered a DIY cardboard turntable with his new album. This limited edition version came with a make-your-own cardboard turntable that actually plays the record! This was thoughtfully created to “invoke the old-time aspect of blues music and toy-building activities reminiscent of childhood, as well as forcing the listener to put in some work and attention in order to hear the music.”  What a unique way to get fans to engage with this musician and his music!

Top 5 Halloween Promotional Products

So it’s the end of September and the retail stores have had their Halloween candy and costumes out for weeks! I have to admit, I love this time of year and really get into Halloween and the fun that surrounds it. At Pinnacle we always dress up, have a party and eat waaay too much food and candy. Case Study: Flexible Promotional Vase

This spring we helped one of our customers, Michelle find an inexpensive, unique item for her event.  After looking through many promotional products in her price range, she decided to order a sample of the Flexible Promotional Vase.

After reviewing the product she was pleasantly surprised to find that the vase was not as thin as she expected and was “amazed and excited about the quality of the item”.  She placed an order and purchased enough to display on her registration table as well as give as a gift to each person attending.  Not only did the Flexible Promotional Vase act as a decorative piece on her table, but it also was very well received by her attendees.  Everyone left with a quality branded vase which they could use in their home or office to display flowers.  Michelle felt the vase had a “lot of bang for the buck”!

[Trending] Promotional Charging Devices

Trendwatching.com released 12 Mini Trends To Run With Now, which consists of 12 “mini” consumer and business trends to keep on your radar.  The one that popped out to me was #7: Juice Jitters, “extended battery life and charging options that are the holy grail for anyone addicted to an online lifestyle”.  It seems like almost everyone today feels the need to be connected 24/7.  All that connectivity really wears on your battery life, especially when you’re traveling.

 

Trend Watching featured a handbag by fashion designer, Richard Nicoli and Vodafone UK that can power a mobile phone while on the move.  After the bag is charged (via power outlet), it carries up to two days worth of extra battery!  They didn’t say how much it costs, but it reminded me of some of our new charging products and promotional cell phone accessories that have just been released.

Heather’s Product Pick of the Week: The Nicole Quilted Check-Friendly Compu-Tote

As the seasons change I’m always inspired by the new fashion trends and “it” items. What I like most about my job is finding new, retail-inspired products that are available to be customized for marketing and branding purposes. As most of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  It’s that time of year again when people start wearing their pink and promoting awareness for the disease and support survivors.  Many companies and organizations focus some of their marketing efforts on specific causes or philanthropies that they support. Breast Cancer Awareness happens to be one cause that has shown tremendous support and growth in recent years.
